How a job runs
Six steps, one person to deal with. This is the order every job follows.

We call you back
Call, text or use the form. We call you back the same day; after 6pm, the next working morning. We ask where the house is, which room, and what you have in mind, then book a visit.
Visit
Free, we measure and listen
We look at the room, take measurements, and ask what bothers you about it now. You do not need a drawing. The visit and the written quote cost nothing, and you are under no obligation.
Quote
Written, itemised
The quote lists the scope, the materials we supply, allowances for the finishes you choose, the schedule and the price. How the price works is set out on this page.
Contract
Signed before we start
Before any work begins, we both sign the written contract, and you get a copy. If the job needs a city permit, we apply for it before we start. What the contract covers is listed on this page.
Build
Same crew, daily tidy
The same people are on site from start to finish. The work area is cleaned at the end of each day and changes are signed before they are built.
Walkthrough
Nothing left on the list
We walk the finished work with you and write down anything that is not right. The job is closed when that list is empty.
How the price works
Renovation prices depend on what is behind the walls, so we write down how ours works.
- You get a written, itemised quote before any work starts: the scope, the materials and the price for that work.
- Finishes you choose, like tile, fixtures and cabinets, are listed as allowances. Pick something over the allowance and you pay the difference; under it, you pay less.
- If you change the plan, or we find something behind a wall, we stop, show you, and price it in writing. Nothing extra goes ahead until you sign for it.
- Some repairs, like rot or water damage, cannot be priced until they are opened up. The quote says so up front, with how that work will be priced.
